Thank you for your support! I knew nothing about regex when I joined Bluesky in October 2024, so figuring out how to write regex and configure Graze logic to capture and exclude keywords has been a huge learning curve. Iām working on a list of film critics and writers whose posts I will add when I figure out a consistent way to remove non-movie topics.
The way forward for a better, healthier social media starts with all of us trying something new, together.
Feed Details
Movies - Hot ranks the last eight hours of posts. To show up in the feed, a minimum number of likes from the general Bluesky population or a smaller minimum number of likes from feed subscribers is required. When posts are ranked, replies are weighted higher than reposts and likes. However, you'll also get a wildcard post dropped in every now and then with very little engagement.
Movies - Links shows you posts with article links that have a significant number of likes and reposts. This feed does not have a ranking algorithm.
Movies - New is just like the Hot feed, but there's no minimum required likes and no ranking algorithm. Drink straight from the firehose of Bluesky cinephile chatter.
Feeds in progress
Film Festivals is a reverse-chronological feed showing only posts matching the film festival criteria.
Film Writers is a first pass at a feed showing posts by freelance or staff film critics, reviewers and writers for major publications. I just published this (10pm on Nov 5), so it might take a while to populate with posts.
